This one confused me too initially, but I realised that as it’s a percentage - which is essentially a glorified ratio if you think about it - a is just a constant so won’t have an effect on your percentage. As you can see in my attached solution, it cancels out by the end, providing a clean percentage answer. For these sorts of questions, we recommend just writing anything down that you think might help and working through that as very often that critical realisation will come to you as you work it out.
